Step installing

Stone steps must be installed starting from the top and finishing at the bottom. The surface of the steps should be dry and clean. It is advisable to preliminary seal the surface, which prevents the stone surface from dirt contamination in the installing process. Special adhesive is needed, which must be spread evenly on the surface to avoid bridges weakening individual step parts.

After the installation of each tread, a riser must be pasted immediately; otherwise, steps cannot be used, and the time of installation is prolonged. A waiting period is required after the installation in order for the adhesive to dry. Next, grouting can be applied. The steps cannot be used until the adhesive is dry. Otherwise, the step parts may become unstable or tear off.

It is important to mention that step installation is one of the most complex tasks in stone processing. Without experience it cannot be done properly.
